Subaru Stars RA Spec C transmission for 05 WRX

Im swapping (plus cash), my transmission which has been rebuilt with RA Spec C gears and an Exedy Stage One clutch off my 05 WRX. Transmission was rebuilt by Anchor Subaru and is flawless, it has 8K miles on it since it was rebuilt. I dont plan on going much higher on HP and I could use some cash. Im looking for between 2500 and 3500 depending on your transmissions mileage, condition etc and how much the swap will cost... Total the tranny cost me 5000$ for the rebuild.

I dont know the exact number... it is the stock WRX 5th gear, the idea was to be able to obtain a higher top speed. I do have the RA 5th gear still in a box.

See, with the rear ra final of 4.44 this would work perfectly on my Forester, but alas, no money for the swap. You might want to post this over on www.subaruforester.org as the Foresters have the 4.44 final.

Will the forester and impreza trannies swap directly considering the different block?

I'm asking because I don't know anything about foresters.

he doesnt have a real ra tranny just a wrx tranny with ra gears so this trans will still have a 3.90 final i have a real v6 sti ra v limited trans with lsd front and rear and that has the 4.44 final. now, the actual gear ratios in our trannys are the same but are final drives are not and same with the diffs... just to clear things up.

Thanks for clarifying that for me... I thought the spec c came in 5 spd. also... but thats why im on here.

is there a 5spd tranny available for the forester, and if so would it fit in my wrx, or would I be stuck with a transmission that would useless to me...

if u got a forester tranny you would have to change youre rear diff since foresters have 4.44 gears as thier final drive in the center diff so you would have to match that in the rear.
