Default So... My Freaking purse got stolen....

with basically my life in it.

wallet, car keys, house keys, IDs, cellphone, EVERYTHING.

police report has been filed, locks are being changed today, CCs have been cancelled and i have new ones on the way, credit bureaus have been notified.
my purse was on the back floor of my friend's car while we were in the gym and they smashed the window and grabbed it.
i had paper work in my purse to reestablish residency for my school so my social, home addy, phone # everything was right there on one piece of paper. the cop siad that it looked like similar break ins that happened in that area before and that it was just some asshat kids looking for easy cash, but it still makes me nervous that someone could have all that info.

people just effing piss me off. makes me glad i am moving out of this hell hole at the end of the year.

IBjokeabout"ifyouhadjuststayedinthekitchen"

CN: purse got stolen. i fu***** hate south florida.

Why would you leave your purse on the back floor of your friend's car?

*shakes head in disbelief*

Damn sorry to hear that, at least you took all the needed steps to cancel everything before it became worse than it already was.

Anything of value goes in the trunk or the glove box. But, it's rare that I'll leave anything of value in my car.

Statistically now, some other female in South Florida has a better chance of NOT getting their stuff stolen today.

Did you check the dumpsters and trash cans in the area ? Many times your stuff gets dumped quickly after the theives take what looks valuable to them.

She wasn't able to fit the purse in the trunk, people. Anyone at the BBQ will tell you that there is already a lot of junk in there.

Make sure they spelled out "insurance" on the police report. If they just wrote "INS," everyone in the county is likely to take off running.

and it's not the phone or anything else of monetary value that i care about. it's the little crap that i can't get back, like the rabies tag that i had from my cat that died last year that is on my keychain.
oh and my penny collection (don't laugh) i had a bunch of these:
totally dorky, but i had then from all over the place. key west, chicago, baltimore.
i also had a super nice subaru keychain that i got in teh ATL while visiting matt and porter a few years ago.
