Red flag?

I want to start having my oil changes on my STi done at a Subaru dealership, but I've heard stories of people going to get something simple like that done and the dealership "red flagging" the car in their warranty system because it has mods on it. My mods are light: I have a TBE and engine management, as well as intake silencer delete and a K&N air filter... I also have STi pink springs. Should I be worried about warranty problems down the road if I get my oil changed at the dealer?

well if you were bringing that STi to the Subaru dealership I work at... no we would not red flag your car or write down the mods. We do not document them unless they had something to do with a failure of a OEM part. I would not be worried about it from reading what you have on there but I can not speak for other dealerships... they have been known to do odd things as you have read.

Well they would find out about your mod's if you took it in for warrenty work wouldn't they? unless your one of those A-holes that takes everything off before you go in.

i know some friends that take their cars to other suby dealerships out here in AZ for oil changes and gotten flagged. for a simple oil change... dang....
