'99 transmission 57k on it

I have a spare 5spd tranny out of a 99 Subee THAT WILL BOLT UP TO ANY EJ ENGINE WITH A 4:11 FINAL. I purchased it for my 01 RS but never needed it. The tranny is in great running condition and is complete in full (not split). I will ship at the buyers expense. I paid $600 for the tranny and that is all I am asking, if you have interest in any of my other parts in the suspension thread (springs struts) I will toss them in at no additional charge (accept for shipping). I will ship at buyers cost. PM me for pictures or offers. Thanks!

its hard to sell the stock RS trannys. I am looking for one but in the much lower price range. GL tho.

RS trannys do not usually go for that much. But if you're not in a hurry to unload this, then don't let the low ballers get to you. Just be patient and someone who really needs it, will come a long and take it.

Didnt know that,I figured since it had fairly low miles it was a good buy. The tranny is not a tranny off an RS though, I was thinking it is off a WRX, either way as long as it has a 4:11 final it will bolt right up.

I purchased the tranny from a WRX/STi Swap shop off the east coast. I told the guy I was looking for a tranny that would replace my RS tranny, something that was good and strong. He said he had a tranny that would bolt right up to my RS, and it would be more then strong enough. It only has 57k on it, so I said sure, ship it. I ended up fixing the fork in my stock one and sliding it back it, so now I have this one setting on the floor.

well if you get the numbers off the trans case and look it up then you can see if you have a genuine jdm wrx 5 spd. Then you might get some more bites.

If I'm not mistaken, the RS and WRX clutches are of different designs, pull vs push, or the otherway around. I don't think it's a direct bolt on without modifications.

Thanks for the free bump. Your probably correct, I was just saying it would bolt up to the engine and work with a 4:11 final. I found the info on the tranny if anyone has any questions.

I have no idea, but I found the orig. owner of the tranny. It is out of a 99 RS. The car had 57k on it when it was pulled for a swap.

Opeytrice- it's from a 99 RS- it's wrong for both clutch type and drive ratio (this is a 4.11 vs your 3.9). BTW- the "reply" and "report this post" buttons are very different- please look before clicking and reporting a post that didn't need to be reported

Hey, don't freak out, the guy just clicked the wrong button, you're not doing anything wrong.

As for the tranny, it's not a matter of strong or weak, it's a matter of compatibility. RS and WRX have different clutch designs, they're not easily interchangable.
