Default n00b question about chicago area shops

I'm wondering how to use the search feature best. For example, I am looking for information on whether or not removing my STI wing will make it (the trunk) less valuable to trade. I simply MUST remove that gigantic wing ASAP. Like today, right now. Anyone out there have a link to a thread about it or can explain the search feature to me better...I typed in STI wing removal, STI wing, STI trunk etc.

I am also looking for a reputable shop to do this for me. I don't want to get stuck with a trunk that nobody will trade for, but I want this wing off, now. Anyone recommend a good shop to have this done at??

thanks for the help

i would try swapping it here with someone that wants an STI trunk. many WRX owners pay to get STI wings, and maybe you can just swap it out.

I have already posted in the classified ads, in the trunk swap page, and on a couple other area classifieds. If you know anyone with an Aspen White wrx trunk let me know!!!

You might be better off ordering or buying a wingless trunk and keeping your STi wing'd trunk incase you sell the car later and want to return to stock

Whatever dealership is near you should be able to order one. But I will say...

A 'local' dealership is sponsoring a drag event for us, so they might be friendly enough with ya to give you a little bit of a parts discount for being in our club too.

Is that a for real post? Or just a "funny ha ha" post? Would you really even WANT to put an STi wing on a wagon?.....
