Question Help with welding in an EGT bung

Hello,

I'm swapping EGT gauges and given all the welder types on the boards I was wondering if anyone could give me a hand (read: I can hold the beer). Currently I'm not using an EGT bung and seeing as how my new EGT has a different thread I figured if I may as well do it up if I have the manifold off.

TIA

Do you have a stock exhaust manifold? If you do, you don't need to weld a thing. Drill a hole, tap the fitting, screw in the sensor.

Yeah, that's what I'd planned on doing but I thought I'd try for the other option too

I got lucky the last time I had to yank my EGT probe. The hole in the manifold section I swapped from Crucial Racing matched the hole you'd drilled and tapped.
