Question frankenmotor help

I really thinking about building up a frankenmotor for my obs instead of just dropping in a 2.5. Is it better to use the dual port heads or the single port like on mine? And also what kind of hp numbers are people getting thats what im really wanting to know. I had planned on boring the 2.5 block to 100mm, coated pistons, cam regrinds (deltal cams), port and polish heads, 5 angle valve job, and putting it together with sti headgaskets for the extra comp or is the sti gaskets a bad idea. I've searched up top but no help for the questions I have. If anyone has the answers to my questions or information in general please dont hesitate to tell me im planning on starting the build pretty soon.

Thanks Tommy

as long as you use the phase II ej25 you can use the thin head gaskets. if you use the pahse I you have to use the DOHC gasket. as far as heads go, use the dual port, i dont think anyone makes a EL header for the singleport heads. if you just want a standard borla thats fine, but i would leave yourself some upgrading "room". the CR increase is good for about 5-7 hp IIRC, the ej25 block is good for another 20 over the ej22 block. the cams are good for at least 10-12. and the header (if you get one) is good for at least 5, for the borla, and 10 for the EL header. boring the block really isnt gonna get you much power, unless your block is out of spec or something. unless you want to run forged pistons.......but then i would get custom made pistons and keep the better flowing ej25 heads (just get cams for the ej25 instead). im also ready to put my block back together after it gets back from the "dishwasher". after its all clean and pretty ill be in the rush to get it together and broken in.

thanks for the information balli. I am also interested in the stroker motor. I know if u take a 2.2 block and put a 2.5 crank, rods in it it strokes it out to a 2.375. Do you use the 2.5 heads on it and is it a better motor than the frankenmotor?
