Default J-spec motors vs. A-spec motors

What are the differences (if any) between the J-spec motors and the NA market WRX motors? What about past model years? Currently the US WRX is the EJ20 (a 2.0 liter turbo), right? Is the Japan market motor the same? Doesn't Japan also have an EJ22 (2.2. liter turbo)? Does Japan have the 2.5l NA engine at all? And which models have which?
Sorry for the confusing post, but I'm confused

J-spec WRX NB motor is basically the same US-spec but it has AVCS, the valve timing control device, and it's got 250horsepower instead of 227 in US. J-spec WRX NA has EJ20 NA motor.
Only US old Legacy had EJ22 turbo. J-spec cars never had EJ22 turbo except the 22B.
J-spec EJ25 is currently available in B4, Forester and Legacy, but never had EJ25 in Impreza. Actually US 2.5RS is the only Impreza with EJ25 in the world.

The current B4 Legacy is a 2.0 twin turbo, not 2.5.

Also they just released the MY02 2.5 RS in Australia.

this is not true.
In Japan actually B4 comes in 3 engines.

EJ20 2.0 NA is B4 RS and B4 RStype-B
EJ25 2.5 NA is B4 RS25
EJ20 2.0 twinturbo is B4 RSK

SOJ legacy website

I didn't know that 2.5 RS was sold in Australia. Hmm so US is not the only place to get Impreza with 2.5.
