i was hoping someone would say fremont.... oh well. well my and a few buddies all got a fix it ticket on mount hamilton! of all the freakin' places! we went to the observatory at 1230 and chilled for a bit. we popped our hoods (1 2.5RS, 1 Protege 5, 2 GalantVR4's) and let them cool off and what not. so a cop drives by at 1230ish and looks in all of our hoods and leaves, or so we think. we leave at 2 and at the bottom is the cop that was there before. he then follows us. after like 2 miles we pull off and chill. we wait 10 minutes and leave go again and in the next turn off is the cop again! we keep going down and like another 5 miles down there is another cop who pulls us over into a parking lot thing and makes us pop our hoods! gah! so i got a ticket for no front plate, illegal intake and illegal exhaust! i should carry around the EO numbers but im just pissed he waited so long just to give us fix it tickets!

does it really take 45 minutes to fill out 4 freakin' tickets? hahah I only got a ticket for no front license plate and "illegal intake"! BTW does anyone know if K&Ns are legal in CA? I emailed K&N for a EO number just now. Come to think of it, you should've just put the front plates back on and have them sign it off right there.

If we knew they were going to pull us over, we should've turned towards to Livermore side, pull over, let the cop by, and turn around and come back down Mt. Hamilton from the San Jose side.

i have an N1... it's pretty obvious EO numbers i guess are the CARB numbers that make them legal for street use.

actually, N1 is not streetlegal just to let u know =) it is over 95db. Thats why Apex's product catalog mentions N1 is only being for offroad usage. K&N is legal if its the ones u replace stock airbox ones with. But the open element funnel design is for offroad usage only. Any modification or removal of the stock airbox is illegal unless it has a Carb EO. What a bunch of bastards i tell u.

If you see a cop, give them a thumbs up cause of the 9/11 thing! They will give you a wave back, and go on their merry way

(it really works!)

N1 + Mister Ghetto Whack Silencer = street legal (i hope). sadly, the cop said none of the cars were too loud (because i never went about 3k RPM and was using the downhill-ness to keep me going. to quote the fast and the furious:

"There were mass cops everywhere! (2 ) They came from every direction (the did!) That **** was ochestrated! (he waited an hour and a half for us! and he called for back up!)"

god damn cops who have nothing better to do!

The N1 exhaust is legal carb wise. All cat back exhaust are legal. I doubt the N1 surpasses 95 DB its pretty quiet. You pass the smog part just slap the silencer on for the inspection.

Suicide (him killing himself).... maybe

Homicide (him killing someone else)... Give it a few more months........

Just wait till they get cameras put up there....

Philip

Edit: re-read it later, and almost thought it sounded like I was the one going to comit the homicide, so I added a bit to clearify
