Default Deadly crash on Higgins yesterday. Impreza involved.

This happened on Higgins yesterday morning...a couple of the cops came in to my store to get food, said it was nasty.

Hope it wasnt anyone here.

Police say they have seen more high-powered Subarus on the road after they were glamorized in the 2001 film “The Fast and the Furious” and its sequel.

??

Yeah, "police" are pushing out some stupid stereotypes.

Or maybe he's seen more powerful subarus on the road since 2001 because they started releasing turbocharged models in the fall of '01

you know I saw that on the news that didn't look like a wrx. what year was it? I thought the wheels looked similar, but when they showed a rear shot of the car I thought it was an altama or something. That really sucks there were 3 kids killed in that car IIRC.

Looking at the picture in the news article. It doesn't look like a 05 WRX.. Plus the color seems wrong.

The general silouette seems more like a 98-01 RS. Plus in one picture it doesn't look like it has a back door, but seems to have coupe doors.

Anyone else see this?

Yeah, when the cop came in and told us what happened, we were like "WTF, how does that happen on Higgins?"

EG police come in atleast 4 times a week to get food, so we hear all the stuff that goes on.

of course they have to throw in the crash in Libertyville at the end, that's pretty low.

This isn't the same... btu I have seen so many accidents on Randall/Higgins involving dump trucks that blow the east/west light heading towards the quarry. I sometimes hate this area.
