Default Why do people drive like idiots with their kids in the car?

This guy comes to Capitol Raceway saturday sporting his brand new GTO and his 7 yo son. He did not race there, only spectated. Later that night, someone leaving the track see this 7 yo on the road entering the track and stops to see why he's there alone. He says his dad is in the woods and is hurt. Apparently, upon leaving the race track, he decided to see how fast the car was and got on it pretty good once he got thru the front gate. He mis-judged the sharp left hand turn 600ft ahead and went straight into the trees on the side of the road. The dad was dead upon arrival of the paramedics to extract him.

Agreed. It's a selfish mentality and they're certainly looking out for number one rather than being bothered by proper parenting.

The kid was probably smart enough to buckle up and the dad more than likely was not.

The kid was probably smart enough to not wear a seatbelt, so he could be thrown clear!

Oh, wait.

They both could have been belted in. If you hit a tree with the driver's door, you're in for it.
