Default Last chance to sell me your AP and Sway bar

Hey. I'm very close to breaking down and buying a new 02 AP and a rear sway bar online. There's some good sales at GNV motorsports right now that I will probably take advantage of. Anybody have either of these two parts they want to sell me before I bite the bullet?

I want to get all geared up before track day and stop searching the boards every half hour waiting for someone to part out. You have to be so quick to get an AP used around here (damn you Spoolin! ) I need my life back.

Also, any reason why I shouldn't buy a Perrin sway bar?

Yeah. The price is a bit high and I'm quite wary of the pay and ship transactions. Too many friends with bad experiences. Thanks for the heads up though. I might send him a PM.

We have one AP left for your model yr for our summer sale price of $749. Give us a shout if you want it, it will go fast. No RSB's in stock right now but I can get you one pretty quick if you want to do it at the same time.

Thanks Jamie. I can get one for $580 shipped from the south which works out to be about $650 CDN so as much as I would like to buy it from you guys $100 bucks is $100 bucks.

I'll probably be seeing you guys for the tune at some point though.

No duty. Made in the USA. PST and GST only, just like in Canada. Unless of course I swallow it before coming back over the border. Might be tough with the sway bar.

Ryeeno:

I've been doing a lot of research on AP's and swaybars.

Just wanting to let you know that Cobb is coming out with a new AP quite soon...so you may want to wait a bit on that.

Also, if you're doing swaybars, you'll get a better result from adding on a front swaybar and rear at the same time. I always thought a rear swaybar would be good enough but I guess I was wrong.

Just FYI.

See if the place you are getting it from will send it via USPS. If they courier it, you'll have to pay the courier company a fee for them to get it over the border (they have a name for that fee, can't remember it off the top of my head). It's not cheap either, I've paid anywhere from $30 to $100 ; some couriers gouge you worse then others. If it gets shipped through the mail, you'll only have to pay the tax.

The new AP looks very tempting, but from everything I've read about Cobb's products, it will be quite some time before it's actually easy to purchase and I want one NOW. I'll be getting the front sway bar down the road, but for now, I think just a rear will make a noticeable difference.

As for the brokerage, I'll get it shipped to TSB in Point Roberts and bring it across myself. Did it before and it was easy as pie.

Thanks for the input though. All help appreciated. That's why I love this site.

As a side note, I actually ordered a Cusco Sway bar from World One in Seattle last week. I was in Bellevue for the weekend for work and thought it was great timing to pick it up and not have to pay any taxes or duty because I would be there for 48 hours. So I drive from Bellevue to Seattle on Saturday (about 30 minute drive) and when I get there, the guy says: "Sway bar? I thought you said strut bar. I don't have any sway bars here. Sorry." I talked to them several times and said sway bar every time. Boooo - urns for World One.

Yeah. I don't think it fits the 02 Sedan, unfortunately.

It's done! AP and Sway on the way.
