Default Let's play a game, which wheels for Guru's FJ?

Alright, just throwing this out as an idea. I think it's almost time to get some wheels for the FJ. Which wheels do you guys like? I do like the OEM steelies but I'm wanting to go with something else, plus it's already been done by micrad on the FJ forums. Also the OEM steelies cost just about the same price as these American Racing ones and are heavier.

I'm also going with this same black All Pro bumper at Warn winch setup at some point.

Guru

Original Toyota FJ Cruiser Steelies

American Racing - Mojave Teflon

American Racing - Chamber Teflon

American Racing - Mojave Polished

American Racing - Mojave Bead Lock

American Racing - Mojave Bead Lock w/ colored or black outer ring. I can paint the outer ring whatever color. I think a dark color maybe black would look good as well

The steelies look sweet. I like the first set of american racing wheels as well. The bead lockers look kindof meh Id skip those unless they offer some performance function

I liked the Mojave Polished. I've never liked the dark cars with a dark wheel look.

Not saying Jay doesn't have a real truck, but really c'mon. For what he is going to be doing, neon would be more functional.

Mojave Teflon, but your gonna have to go with some flat black (or black) themed graphics, bumpers, etc...

what did you decide to use for tires? those mudders look quite inticing.

For the capabilities of his truck I agree.

If he had a more capable truck that had some articulation, bead lockers are good.

Then he should get real bead-lockers.. those appear to be 'bling-lockers'.

I vote for either the steelies, or the Mojave Teflon... which are only nice looking to me in the dark color. In chrome, the look like those old-school chome 'Mods' that everyone ran back in the 80's.

Mojave Teflon. They look like a cleaner version of the wagon wheels that everyone puts on their off-roaders.

If those weighed 9 lbs and were a 17x9, there'd be alot of folks rocking those wheels.

one more vote for "American Racing - Mojave Teflon"

(assuming that cost, weight, width, durability are about the same in the wheels that you are considering and that appearance is the biggest factor left)
