Built 5 speed transmission Kaaz, Cusco, Custom

Okay, here is the big enchilada from the part out.

1 WRX 5 speed transmission with Kaaz syncromesh gearset (straight cut 1-3 with full syncros, helical 4th and 5th) with Cusco Tarmac gear center differential (35% front/65% power split) and custom built clutch type front and rear limited slips (built by the same guy who put together the rear unit AutoWRXer is using).

The center and rear diffs are installed but have no miles on them and the gearset and front diff have about 1500 miles. This transmission should handle 500 whp. It is loud, seriously built, strong as heck and weighs over 100 lbs less than a 6 speed conversion.

Looking to trade for stock WRX 5 speed and rear diff assembly plus $4000.

how loud is the tranny??? this is a dogbox tranny correct?? so its pretty much bulletproof??? and are you willing to work on your price at all???

i beleive its 96 db? for the strait gears...i may be slightly off tho...and im pretty sure its not dogbox engagement... bump for a sweet setup you have a pm

The first 3 gears are straight cut, but they do have syncros, so it is not a full "dogbox" settup.

1st through 3rd are loud (as in they whine, but not as loud as reverse), but fourth and fifth are no louder than stock.

what kinda hp is this tranny rated at? and is rediculously loud??? can you work on the price?

Kaaz rates the gearset as "easily capable of 400 awhp". I didn't think the gears were "ridiculously loud" but the car does sound like it has a supercharger on it in 1st-3rd.

Considering all the parts involved; $3000 dollar gears + the $500 set up kit to make the gears work in a US tranny, $1500 center diff, and $500 each front and rear diffs, plus the fact everything was assembled by a long time Subaru technician. I really feel like $4000 is a very fair price.

It will fit 02-04 WRXs with no modifications at all. It will fit 05 and 06 WRXs, Legacy GT, Forester XT, and Baja Turbo by changing out the front stub axle shafts for the new style splines. It will fit any of the 5 speed NA cars by swapping to a pull style clutch.

At the moment, I would like to try and keep it all together. If it doesn't sell in the next week or so, I might sell the rear diff seperate.

I have KAAZ 1-4 gears and it is quieter than my engine and exhaust....but then again thats not saying much...hehe....its tolerable if you are more performance driven if you are whiney and want a comfortable ride then it may be too much for ya...

I have the kaaz gearset that he is speaking of and it is a good loud. You will love the whine and if you dont...dont worry because even these gears in a stock car would be rather quick. And if you are cruising at a low speed you can stick it in 4th and still have plenty of power. Excellent price i was trying to sell just the gearset assembled out of the case for 3000.00 a while back. With this you get it in the case with the cusco center and custom front diff.
