Hi, I'm new to the post and have some technical questions about my 96 impreza. The car has about 38,000 miles on it, and the check engine light came on. I have noticed a strange odor looming around the car as it is running. It smells like burning plastic. Not sure if the two are related though. All the fluids are normal and it seems to run just fine. I checked the O2 sensor and it looks like the wire has been rubbing in the CV housing near the tranny. It looks like all the wires are intact though. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm going to take it to the local service station and have them get me the trouble code and I'll let you guys know. Thanks for any help and sorry for the length of the post!
