Default Civics are better cars than imprezas....

Just kidding.... needed your attentions. I am going to buy a 96 imprez L awd coupe, and am wondering what kind of turbo engine to put into it? I have heard of the ej20t, yet know that that engine varies in differences from year to year. I have also heard of some 2.2t engine from a legacy. I was wondering what engines are best (power wise), and the most durable/reliable yet has significant parts here in the us. Thank you, and please help,...... I NEEEEEEED this car !

VTEC is cool.

It would be even cooler if you stuffed a H22A or B18C motor into an Impreza.

Does the car you're buying have an engine? I'd say go with that 2.2l.
