Default Does anyone with an 06 STi have the Defi VSD display ?

I'm trying to find someone with an 06 STi who has the Defi VSD unit in their car. My tuner is trying to hook mine up, but he says that it doesn't want to communicate with the ECU. I need to know what the trick is to get it to work.
I'd be thankful for any tips. Okey

My tuner was unable to get it to work. He said that he used the same wires as he had in older models, but neither the speedo or the tach would work.

I'm sure at least one of you out there have installed one in their 06 STi. Please help. Thanks, Okey

I dont have the VSD but I do have the Defi Link Display hooked up. Make sure to have the speed sensor wire attached & to set the # of cyl (i think). I had a similar problem where my speed was wrong and it didnt work at first, it was all attributed to the speed sensor and this setting. Great product, make sure to wire correctly to the control unit or you wont be able to control brightness.

Enjoy !

I installed mine last night on an 06 WRX (non STI). I tapped power from the back of the cigarette lighter and tapped ports 13 and 22 on the connector B136 (I think, I posted the diagram on elsewhere). It works fine up until about 75mph where it starts to get off by 1 or 2 mph and at 80 it's off by about 2 or 3.
