Default What colder spark plugs to use on 06 wrx

I plan on getting some iridium one step colder plugs. Which ones to I use though, the ones specified for the regular wrx(bkr 7eIX) or the sti specified ones?

you have to use the ones for the wrx. but i wouldn't go colder unless you are running a lot of power. if it is stock, or close to stock, don't go colder, they'll just foul up quickly.

hmmm. Well I plan on going stage 2 on stock turbo. So colder plugs wouldn't help dissipate the heat better and be an added protection against detonation?

Its one step colder for every 100 hp over stock. Not necessary on stock turbo.

But, if you have plans on going bigger down the road I would get them.

BTW, NGK LFR7AIX (#2309) is the Part Number.

So for an aggressive tuned vf30 would you suggest a colder plug? I need to do plugs soon. What are the best 1 step colder plugs available if there is one?

Yes, I would recommend getting them. Same setup here. There is no "best" I believe, but a lot of people go with the NGK's, I have a set of these, (part# listed in above post)
