Default Stupid drunk at Chungdam Izakaya *rant*

So I just picked my wife up from work at 1am, and we are driving home...I get into the alley by Robson and Cardero (where my parkade entrance is) by Chungdam Izakaya Restaurant. Stumbling down the middle of the road is a drunken asian guy, with another asian guy and girl....I stop to avoid the stumbling guy (without even honking the Nautilus at him). What does he do? He looks at me, then slams his fist on my trunk, and then kicks my rear fender and walks away! I jump out of my car and start yelling at the punk...and his buddy tells me "Calm down, he's drunk!" I yell back "So what?!? He kicked my f-ing car" Of course my wife is trying to calm me down...and looking at my car there is no damage, I think. I am just so mad right now! This is not a new occurance at this restaurant either...I frequently get into verbal "disagreements" with the intoxicated patrons of this restaurant. Maybe next time, I wont talk at all.

Intoxication is most definatlly something that is a problem around for vanalism, I agree.

But who's to say with this government and there rules. If they wanted to prevent any of this from ever happening again. Why don't they ban alcahol? Because they make a killing for there buck unfortunally, this is only a perspective side representing, now pulling sides here. I'll leave that too politics.

Its just like smoking, It harms, why don't they ban it? I wish they did, they I would never be able to buy a pack of smokes.

Good to hear there is no damage.. Karma seems to always takes it place.

You would ban alcomahol? Clearly, I must kill you now. Please allow me a moment to sober up. You may take this time to say goodbye to loved ones and prepare to meet your maker...

In Chicago, restaurants can get into trouble for "over-serving", you could call the cops and complain. The restauarant might get into trouble, but drunks would still exist. This is probably a "relax, move on" situation.

by the rules, any establishment that has a liquor license, cannot sell you a drink if they deem you to be drunk....

of course, they want your money, so they do it anyway, until you start to cause problems...

That particular restaurant has had many complaints from the local residents about its drunken patrons now...they are always pissing and throwing up in the parking lot of my building, generally being too loud, blocking the sidewalks while they smoke outside the restaurant, and now this incident! I even went in there last night after closing to let them know what the guy did after he left their restaurant, and the girl just said, "Yes. We have many complaints from building. We cannot control what people do." How about stop serving these guys Beers when they are red in the face, can't walk, and want to pick fights with white guys twice their size??? Ok Dalton, time to teach me the Kung Fu!

Haha, I thought "I wont honk at the stumbler...just in case he hits my car or something" The punk did anyways! I wanted to punch out his sober friend, just to prove a point...remember these are a couple of "little" asian guys, and myself am NOT little at all...what was he thinking at the time? I actually didn't hit the guy, for his own sake...why am I such a softy? I regret not decking the both of them, honestly.

If you had the boxer rumble, they both would have heard you and moved respectfully out of the way to let you pass unmolested.

He Jean Claude Chung Dam'd your car!

I know that restaurant and have been there a couple of times. The smart thing to do- though I know it's absolutely ****ing infuriating that someone would do that to your car-is smash his face. Then you'll go to jail, get a record, etc etc. Doesn't seem fair but that's the way it works. Plus, there's 2 of them and 1 of you. It's an unfair fight to begin with, plus you have your wife with you. All it takes is a sucker punch or, for them to bring out a weapon to your head and it could potentially be fair game on your wife. You just never know nowadays. Also, you work at a hospital, you know how dirty blood is. Fighting sometimes involves sharing blood. Not something I'd want to do with a complete stranger.

Ok, lecture over.

Best thing I think is to just lodge another complaint against the restaurant. I think I've seen a security guard in front of there some nights telling patrons to be quiet etc.

Sucks to hear that you had to go through it this bull****. Sometimes the Korean folk (not saying that these guys were Korean) are the worst when they're drunk. They drink too much, get too violent, or even worse, want to get violent but have that "You'd be dead if I wasn't being held back by a girl that's half my weight...STOP holding me back! I'm ENRAGED and cannot pass your 100lb frame!"-act.

Oh, that and their football team sucks.

drunks FTL.

I would have got a bucket of cold water from your house, go back down and pour it on the drunken mofo . You would get into trouble if you beat the **** out of him .

It's good that your car wasn't damaged because of some stupid idiot's drunken rage.

My girlfriend is my secret weapon too. She doesn't train as much as I do but is always aware of the vitals to hit. Even better if you give her a stick or a knife.

Sometimes the ladies are "worse" than guys as some, innocent as they appear, can tap into their animal instinct faster it seems and be just vicious. It's the same kind of thing where you hear mothers lifting off vehicles to save their babies. They have this incredible rush of adrenalin and strength to protect that which they love.

It's a beautiful thing.

Anyway, steaming piss pouring FTW!

I'd just like to add that you should eat LOTS of asparagus before you do so. Hell, let's have an asparagus and beer meet.
