Look in the phone book for Precision Powder Coating. I believe they are located off of Broad st. 5-10 miles within the Willow Lawn area? I see their commercial on T.V. all the time. Check em out!

Hanzo inquired about getting Superleggeras powdercoated before he found them in gold and I think they wanted $75 a wheel.... the prices are pretty high...

ec.. are you who I see every once and a while going to and from work on Parham? I know I met you at the first meet and you have the same color Impreza... just not sure if it's you...

That $75/wheel was hearsay from some folks at Rosen. I spoke directly to them and showed them some wheels and he said $100/wheel and if it is a metallic finish it will be about $110 to $120/wheel. 17" of course.

Way too much. Most of the stuff they do is furniture. Tiny little shop.

Mr Ixnay, I use Parham every once in a while, I have a 01 BRP RS with TWSTD I for my plate.

I am looking to get my Ganzflow powder coated, so hopefully it won't cost over $50.

Sure. But the age old question remains. WHERE?

Oh, Mike. I saw another white wrx. So you ain't the only one in town anymore. I was on my way to put my RE92s back on and there on Parham he was next to me. We traded the Impreza peace! wave.

I think some people lurk around on the board from around here but never post. Come out and join us this weekend people!!! Wherever it might be.

I know of 2 white wrx here, both of them are pretty young kids. I talked to one of them which has an automatic and he is getting rid of his because his parent bought it for him. I guess he wants a manual, oh and get this, the wrx is his first car!

Default how about this?

I just got a thing from Subaru in the mail today... they are having a big GTG at the Subaru of Richmond on the 11th (11/11/01) and maybe we can all go to that one? close enough to not interfere with turkey day but far off enough to allow for max amt. of people to come!!! Someone start a new thread on this! BTW they also have a contest to win a new Outback! I'm in no matter what...

My 99 Blue RS has several SCCA related stickers on the rear side windows but it's clearly not a white WRX.

Hooters! If you guys want to get together tonight or Sat. afternoon let me know and I'll bring my 2001 SCCA STS ProSolo National Championship car out. Just got my 15" Volk Te-37's on with some new fast rubber.

Bunuel,
Yes, 15 x 7.5 and 10.2 lbs. Still in search of the best combination of wheels and tires. The tires are 225/50/15's so they're a little taller and wider than my 215/45/16's and 215/40/17's but of course have more side wall. I thought the 15" white 37's may not look so good after seeing them on a WRX at Nationals but he had the really small diameter 225/45/15 Hoosiers on his G/Stock WRX and with my smaller wheel wells lowered car and fatter tires it looks much better. I'm still looking for some light 16 x 7.5's with a 48-50mm offset but nobody seems to make such a thing.

Not a whole lot of response to my Hooter's suggestion for this weekend but I'll check again in about an hour and may head out there about 8 pm even if no one else does. Love those Hooter's, wings. I'll probably be sitting at the first round table next to the door with a fellow VMSC member, so look for the tall bald guy up front and it's almost certainly me.

On 11/11, http://www.VMSC.org has their last autocross of the year at VMP so that's where I'll be then.

Advanced Metal Stripping in Manassas, VA is absolutely the BEST. It's a little out of your way, but if at ALL possible, I would HIGHLY recommend them. It's a large shop, very professional, and they KNOW how to work on aluminum, which is unique in that under heat, the airbubbles in the surface of the AL will pop, causing a non-smooth finish if it's not prepped first. They had an awsome staff and did a beautiful job doing my stock Rex wheels black (for my white car). I don't have thier # here now, but you can look it up in yahoo yellow pages w/ a map. I got charged I think about $100/wheel. NOt cheap, but these people know what they're doing, 7-10 day turnaround. Highly recommended.
