Went upto Cypress mountain. Great drive up there! Took it nice and easy. (Acually we raced to the top with his wife and kids in the back, but don't tell anyone. NASIOC's lil secret. Shhh!)

It was a nice drive--surprisingly light traffic--thanks Ernie for providing an excuse to get out and enjoy the last day of summer .

I've been having laptop problems all night (keeps shutting down) and now I just lost access to my web host (and email), but I'll try posting some preview pictures tonight. The rest will come later.

That is so funny! I saw them and I was thinking, "Boy does that guy look like Toby's dad! Naah, it can't be what are the chances...."

Oh, yeah, uh "booting it up" would be a major exageration because (although VCC might not believe us) we were strictly going the speed limit. Ernie, it's that exhaust of yours!!!1!!

Anyway, here are some pics. I'm still having problems with my web host so I can't upload files to them or get any email....

Construction again....

This is the second of two Ferraris up on Cypress (other one was a Magnum P.I. one):

sp00lin, I'll get the other ones uploaded in high-res when my web server is working again....

I really like the angle on this shot:

ive seen that red ferrari a few times heading up cypress..it cruises up there quite often! you can always tell its the same one by those crazy side mirrors!
Nice pics btw!

we should go for a photoshoot when i pick up the new car!

yep...really good luck actually.
well good luck from a bad situation.
when i was at specialty gerry (best mechanic....ever?) recommended this bugeye to me, jdm spec, vf39 ported/polished, tein suspension, 4' dp 3' turbo back exhaust w/ prodrive muffler, jdm sti gauge cluster etcetc.
But its in awesome shape and i went to check it out today, and i gave the guy my offer and im just waiting to see what happens...
but i leave tomorrow morning for a 5 day backpacking trip to duffey lake, so my dads going to handle the negotiations for me, luckily!!

AND, the bugeye is a wagon, complete change from what i had..but with school (outdoor recreation management) having a wagon is sooo much more practical than a coupe, and its totally an sti killer, so best of both worlds!

Oh yeah btw Picard i love that one picture of ur lights and hood too! Looks really nice! Even my nephew thought it was a picture from a professional commercial or something.

SubieDrift,

I really don't know what you are talkin about? You can check my tires, they still do have a lil bit of tread on them. That Probe was a monster in disguise!

Ferrari vs Subaru, that would be fun to see on the mountain pass.

Heh, heh, nope, not this time .

I shot (mostly) all RAW files yesterday and I have a circular polarizer on my lens that really cuts down on the harshness of the sun's glare. I used the automatic settings (white balance/levels, etc.) in a program called "RAWshooter" to process the files and cropped them a bit, but otherwise didn't do any retouching for those photos.

For the picture with the skid marks, I just used Shadows and Highlights to lighten the background. Something about the rocks in that area really made all the shots there really dark.

For the in motion pictures, I shot jpeg and just did a little cropping and white balance correction.

Anyway, that's probably a lot more than you really wanted to know . My web server is working again so I'll try to upload the rest tonight.
