Thumbs up STi Ver. 5 exhaust

This is the exhaust that I have always wanted. I originally went with a custom catback with a universal muffler. Although this setup produced nice power gains, it was way too loud for me. After I switched to the STi, I noticed that there was a litltle more back pressure producing a bit more torque. The top end power dropped a little bit after changing to the STi.

The STi does add power and still allows the RS to keep its low end grunt. The sound is just a bit louder than stock and was exactly what I was looking for. It is worth all of the time and effort I put into findng one.

If anyone else is looking for an STi can, try contacting Scoobysport. Thier price was reasonable and shipping only took 3 days from the UK! I believe they run across them from time to time when customers add SS systems to their UK spec WRX's.

A big thumbs up!

Yes, it was a used exhaust, approximately 15,000 miles. I paid around $230 for the entire setup.

I assume it was in pretty good condition (duh?). Could you point me in the right direction to contact them? I've been looking for one of these for a bit.

gracias,

OMAHA-

I had a custom 2.25" midpipe made by a local muffler shop. I requseted flanges at both ends. Make sure to do that or they might go the cheap route and just weld it up. It ran $100.

monovich-

Try Scoobysport.com. It's the UK tuning company. They replaced a customers STi with a SS and just had it sitting around. Let me see if I can find and I will send you the e-mail addy. Also, check Scoobynet.com

Just got my STi V.5 today from Scooby Sport. Took a while to get here (because the service people were sick). But you can tell they are a good company.

Exhaust looks rad, just got to hook it up.

$160 shipped!

yeah yeah,
