The gang at ORG (Oregon Rally Group) are trying to decide what kind of year end trophies/awards we'd like to see for the top 3 finishers in each class.

i know this doesn't affect me but from my rallying days, when you get old and crinkly
its always great to be able to look on your trophy cabinet and see all the 2nd's and 3rd's you achieved.Sometimes those mean more than the wins because of the effort behind them. The guys with the 1st's tend to be quite regular winners and dont always show off their trophies as you would expect. Spread the awards around a bit is my opinion, makes more people happy and helps keep the memories alive. ![]() |

Personally I say spread it around a little too, gives everyone more of a chance to take something home

I'm for spreading the awards because everyone has a bad day once in a while ( some more than others) and it feels good to take home something and the end of the day other than a very dirty car. I've always been happy with the way awards are handed out in Pro Rally, 1st through 3rd in class, and 1st through 3rd overall. Though the current program in Rallycross seems pretty fair.
I think most people will agree with whatever you decide on, after all you race with everyone else and it's not like you've been dominating field (soon enough though you probably will!). ![]() |
