Thumbs up JCSports (merged thread)

Im not gonna start a JC Sports hate thread, but people are welcome to post opinions on this thread. I have had good experiance w/JC Sports...I ordered an intake and exhaust from them at seperate occasions and both were delivered to my house in a weeks time. They customer sevice for me was good and I have no complaints about them.

Still waiting on a body kit they said they shipped two weeks ago. Hmmm...maybe it got lost in the mail? hahaha

JCSPORTS is like FedEX, "quick" (to make promises), "reliable" (they will always make em) and always "honest" when it comes to lies

Dont order from them. Simple.

JC sports is a joke... sorry...

company that had potential to really do great things for the subaru performance market...

too bad their heads arent screwed on straight...

they are totally UNRELAIBLE, dont COMMUNICATE at all...

a very, very poor representation of the subaru performance vendor community...

i would never buy anything from them again...

and i recommend of others not to do so as well.

and if this thread gets out of control, it goes away...

Subie Gal - I think that's a pretty "unfair" view of JCS. Many of the guys local to JCS aren't even on this board. Heck I get frustrated with them too sometimes about certain things, but like all other "minority" cars, quality takes time. You're not going to find performance parts for Subarus like you are Hondas.

I do agree with you about the stained customer service, but seriously, their products are top notch and are worth the wait.

As for the communication portion, wouldn't you want a Co. working their hardest to produce something instead of always online or answering phones instead of building your products? You must understand that there're only a handfull of guys @ the shop at any given time.

One thing is that they must get more defined job descriptions, and impliment more advanced business management techniques.

Talking Wait a MINUTE!!!!

I have now experienced all of the subaru vendors and JC SPORTS is by far the best. Kevin and Joel are very knowledgable, and the products that i needed were sent out overnight the same day I ordedred them. They kept my car in good running order when I turbocharged it. They ALWAYS answer their phone, and the are very knowledgeable. Kevin always seems like he has the time to talk and help me troubleshoot. I will most likely be doing most of my business with them from now on. They are far more prompt the Cobb Tuning, more friendly than SPD, and more attentive then B-spec. In my opinion they are the BEST! Thanks KEVIN AND JOEL!

Default JC Sports is no good.

I ordered a part from them about 2.5 months ago. They could not get it but charged me for it in the beginning. Ive been after them for a month and a half for my refund and they keep d!cking around. If I dont get my money soon I am sending them a certified letter threatening them with legal action. I do not reccomend ordering from them at all.

I would not buy from them!!!!!! I ordered an exhaust, they charged my card , talked to them many times and they kept telling me we will ship it on friday, then more than a month later guess what, no exhaust!!! several weeks more went buy then I finally had my card credited after a few more long distance calls!

I read the bad posts, gave them a chance and they didn't do what they said thet would, so good luck to anyone who buys from them..

All of my dealings with JCS have been nightmares. And there are quite a few so I can say this knowing it was not just a one time fluke.

It is totally to big of hassel dealing with them.

I think the term "buyer beware" was invented just for them.

if they cannot support their customer base by being available... they should just fold up....

you have to provide CUSTOMER SERVICE to have customers....

you dont provide any, you dont have any... so they can build and research all they want...

soon they will have nobody to sell to because THEY SUCK!!!

GTBGUY - I think that in fair disclosure you have a business relationship with JCSports, and you are in fact "JCSports Canada."

So your opinion is hardly unbiased.

The turbo kit group buy they started in OCTOBER OF LAST YEAR still has not had all of the orders fulfilled, and that is with more than half of the buyers dropping out.

Do tell about how they are working so hard "producing" instead of answering the phone.

And you are better off talking to their answering machine, anyway, because it will not purposefully lie to you.

I don't care if they know everything there is to know about turbocharged Imprezas, I don't care if they have the best prices.

They don't know the first thing about personal decency, and that is all that matters.

Angry jc sports

well i can not say the same. i ordered both front and rear strut tower bars at the same time on the 8th of may of this year of course, and i still only have the front one, i've benn told all kinds of things from they were back logged, different manufacture is going to make them, then last week i will make sure you get it by the end of the week...b.s. with jc sports...will never buy from them again...customer service is bad, even in a phone call it was all laughs and jokes...i guess they think its ok...

I wouldn't consider anything coming from you to be helpful testimonial. Here's why

Default JC Sports

I just installed a torque chip into my '90 Legacy. I got the chip from JC Sports. The chip works great. It really wakes up the mid range of the Subaru. I received the chip in a timely manner but it took an excessive amount of time and effort to get the paper work needed to install the chip. I have had many problems getting things in a timely manner or at all in the past. If Joe could become much more reliable, then he would have a great company!

Default I know what you mean

I have a torque chip installed too, just put it in my 97' GT on Fri. However they sent me one for a 5sp, I have an auto, so my check engine light's on, and I'm waiting for the right chip and 3 other parts in 2 orders to come in. Been waiting for over 2 months for my exhaust.

I ordered a intake from them about 6 months ago, not a problem, everything was good. Since then I have ordered an exhaust (over 2 months ago), strut tower bar, sway bar, torque chip. Paid for all of them. I recieved the chip last fri, but they sent me the manual one, not the auto. The rest they are going to need anouther week for the next month. I have called them quite a bit, Kevin knows his stuff, but I have never been able to get them to answer the phone on a Monday, or before noon (eastern time).

Judging from what others have said here I wouldn't even buy a sticker from them! JC Canada or US. Same company, Same Service. But from what I can see, I think that they are selling too much stuff that they have to order which is bad cause if that vendor takes a month to get it then it will take another month to get it to you. This is indeed a bad practice that I find many vendors use. If a vendor is selling something I think they should have it in stock first.

Honestly the previous owner of my car ordered from JC Sports and had no problems to comlain about.

One good thing is that I have called them a couple times and each time they promptly answered there phones. I have also emailed them and gotten prompt responses 3 out of the 4 times.

One bad thing is that I was desperately trying to buy a set of 18X7 +50 Team Dynamics Motorsports. I had talked to a couple other Team D vendors who all said they are beeing manufactured but they don't have them in America to sell yet. Then I saw them on JC Sports website for an unbeatable price. So I emailed them to see if they could get me these. I got a response saying they could have them on my doorstep in 3 days. I was so excited I almost gave them my CC number right then. I decided to call the Vice President of sales at Team Dynamics USA branch. Don at Team D told me that they would have to order the wheels through them firstly and secondly theyre US branch didn't even have any of the 18X7 +50 for there vendors to sell. They had not yet been shipped from england. At this time I felt a little suspicious. I then emailed JC Sports asking about sizes that Team D doesn't even make. Sure enough I got an email back the next day stating they would be on my doorstep in three days.

So all in all I was boldly lied to and have lost all confidence in JC Sports.
