The exact same thing happened with my black "free" duralumin lugs that came with my JDM wheel order. A few washes/removals and before you now they're pencil-lead gray with weird swirl marks just like in that picture. They were good lugs just bad coating job

^ started life black...

Now I got closed-end BLACK MUTEKI lugs that STAY black after several years... purchased in Jan 2005 and still black as the day I got em... actually here's a pic from a couple days ago:

yea i think muteki's are a pretty legit brand... ive had my neo chro mutekis for awhile and it's been in the snow, rain, beach, and a wash every week since snowboarding season and they still look as if theyre brand new

Ok as I had posted a while ago I got the WedsSport lugs (4 packs of 4) + a set of locks which were ($50) so I could use them for show and keep my enkeis safe since i park on the street. (its not like im in the ghetto though).

overall I like them but I originally bought them because i thought they'd be less "turquoise" than all the other blue lugs on the market... and they were slightly more blue but not as much as I had hoped. They haven't faded yet or have any scratches (have had them put on by hand 100%). Price wise I got raped... they were more expensive than Rays totaling at $173 after shipping, but I needed them for a show asap and my other ones were rusting and the paint was chipping off... so it didn't really matter to me at the time.

ive had mine for years and after taking my wheels off a million times, banging them with the lug key and dropping them on the ground, they still look new.
