No, Clark. you are the hack, and ripoff artist.

I remember a certain tune you did, that ran like ****, would not pull through 1st gear without breaking up, and got horrible mileage.

even on E85, there is NO REASON to have 25 degrees of timing at peak torque, and 30 degrees at redline no wonder the car kept eating head gaskets.

i'll post the timing map as soon as we can find it, but the $2200 that was paid, was thrown away when we took the car to another tuner.

if i remember correctly, you told me to **** myself, only because i told you the tune was not done.

we came away from the other tuner with not only a more powerful tune, but one that RAN CORRECTLY.

and the other car, was my car. you told me that my MAF was maxed out @ 15psi.. well i hate to inform you, without changing a damn thing, the car is perfectly happy @ 23psi, 4.8v maf voltage.
i was waiting for this to happen..... i have been warned but keep my mouth shut.

Thanks man.I'm gonna say my cars a bit rich and I plan to get retuned at efi logics. Won't be upgrading my turbo unless it goes out.

Any other gear seems to be fine.

Any ideas?
This is in my 2002 wrx with v8 ej207 swap w/vf34.

Definitely overboosting and if you are actually hearing chirping and the car is hesitating/stuttering you might be seeing compressor surge. In either case, boost control needs work and in the mean time drive differently to not have that problem show itself. If it is actual compressor surge that has the potential to cause damage.

Get it looked at.

Ok,.thanks for the updates. I will drive it carefully until I can figure it out.
It only does it in 5th gear at low rpm and wot, otherwise it runs great.

Like others have said, don't go WOT at low rpm's in higher gears. Drive in your power band, downshift!

I think my car does the same thing low rpms in 4th and 5th. Used to do it earlier but I fixed a turbo inlet leak. Turning the boost down on my actuator would probably fix the problem untill I go for a retune.

if i have an 05 wrx trans and the 03 v8 engine. avcs wont work. so i unplugged it and still get nothing. ma is stuck at .09 and % is at 9.41 and stuck for ovc. think i missed somethig here because the reverse lights still work so i know i didnt unplug the reverse sensor on the trans.

Make sure you are actually at speed when you are viewing the avcs advance angle, it wont show any advance unless you are moving.

We figured that out the hard way.

Did you get the corresponding NPS?

You also have to be at operating temp...

Stuff you probably already know, but easily overlooked.

i just unplugged the nss. when you refer to nps you mean the same rear sensor on the trans im talking about I assume. I have tried at warmed up temps and def moving. third gear pulls specifically dialing in afrs last night.
i guess if you unplug it you still need to jump the plugs with something from the ecu side of the harness to complete the circuit.

You need to data log the neutral sensor and see if its in the correct polarity. If its backwards, you need to change the sensor.

Yep, what he said.

I believe you can reverse polarity in ECU with certain ROMs, carberry for sure.

But most likely you will need to buy the matching NPS, or use a relay to reverse polarity.

But I'd put money on it being a mismatched NPS/ecu problem.

You've double checked your avcs wiring? I know its very easy to install the wiring "backwords."

I have a V7 motor, the Power steering pump went bad. What U.S. pumps are compatible with the v7 Sti motor. I am asking because I had a 2003 PS pump laying around but it looks visibly different than the JDM one.

THe pump is smaller as it is later. The US pump will work.

You can swap in the US WRX alternator also. Its lower amp rating but works ok. The JDM one was higher rating as the car had Avcs, dccd and HID lights.
