Who would be interested in a kit that would turn your center speedometer to your center tach just like on the STi models? I will be offering a kit which will do exactly this, no need to spend $550 for the STi Gauge Cluster, Then $100 toget it to work with your US model car, and then another $100 or so to have it convert to mph instead of KPH.
All you have to do on this kit is some simply soldering and replacing of the guage face with my new supplied gauge face, which will have blue lights instead of the stock green and the IMPREZA symbol in the middle of the gauge cluster that lights up also. This kit will be offered very soon, I'm finalizing up some details and should be able to offer this kit by the end of next we for $75, saving you alot of money instead of going the other route. This is only for the 98-01 2.5 RS and other models that use the exact same gauge cluster. WRX will be released very soon after. So look for an ad next week or so in the Classifieds.

I'll be interested in one for the WRX (depending on what they look like). I've been wanting blue lights!! I loved the tach in the center of my RX7. Keep me posted and FYI, most of the wrx owners would rather it say wrx instead of impreza.

I'd be interested in one of these but in KPH for me please. Canadian police don't like us to have the MPH as the big numbers "No officer I wasn't speeding, by my speedo I was only going 60"

I'm working on the Canadian version also and I was thinking for the WRX to have the WRX on there but I'm not sure yet if it would work or not with it being so tall.

just shrink the WRX lettering a little. Mine doesn't even need to say WRX (would be nice though). You know what else would be nice....if the gauge faces were white. I'm sure you'll get excellent response.

Oh they will be white faced but If I shrink the WRX then you will not be able to see it when it lights up.

What about a black face version? I would buy one if it looked like the STi one, and I am sure others would as well! If it had a shift light that would be awesome too! I think the blue lights and white faces would look a little out of place in a WRX, but that is only my opinion...

Well this kinda sounds stupid but I don't know if I could do a black faced version, I know for sure I can't do it the same way as it is done know. I can't do the shift light either but I can look into it though.

Well the back of the stock gauges have a green tint on them so these will have a blue tint on the back of them. Yes the Kph version will be out soon. I will have the 98-01 2.5 RS one done next week in mph and kph will probaly be the next week.

Well I would have had them ready by Tuesday but the cleaning crew at my office tripped the alarm system and now it won't be to about Wed when I should have then done now since I couldn't go into work to finish them up.
I will probally only have 5 or so of them ready wed cause of this delay. But you owners of 98-01 with mph will be ready next week and I will be putting up a post in The privette classifieds on this for the first 5 people to claim these. Also some things I have to say this is not really hard to, it involves you to disconect 8 wires on the board and then solder on 8 new ones and then putting on the new gauge face. |

Let me know how yours turn out. I did this about 6 months ago but after completeion the tach would be off and the spedometer would stick. The only thing I could think of was the voltage difference with the added wire. Keep me posted.

There is now difference between the two except th signal sent into the motor to tell how far to move, The motors are the same. I have already done this to one of my gauge clusters, I have 2, and it works perfectly other than I don't have a gauge face made yet.
