Default ECUTek to ECUFlash

I currently have a ECUTek flash on my ECU, but I want to start playing with the ECUFlash stuff because there are a couple little things that are bothering me. I tried pulling my ROM with ECUFlash, but it won't do it due to the ECUTek.

I heard through the grapevine that if you get the ECUTek map, there is a way to get the ROM off the ECU. Well I got the ECUTek map from my tuner, but haven't been able to get the ROM off the ECU.

Anyone else done this before??

The evo guys have figured it out. There's a download section on the left hand side of the page, then click ECUFlash Addons and definitions. Read up on the thread here.

I'm guessing you mean x99percent? This is based off your MI location.

Newer EcuTeK flashes are locking out reflashing on some people's ECU's. This not only prevents you from using ECUFlash to copy their maps but also prevents dealers from overwriting your reflash. So, some good and some bad. Personally, I hate this new locking feature. You bought the car and ECU, tuners should not be preventing you access to it. My opinion only though.

Did you leave the application running in memory while you tried to read? Not saying that it should work with Subarus but I don't think anyone's tried.
