Question Anyone have a copy of ADAPTEC Easy CD Creator??

WEll as most of you know my POS computer is having problems so i reformatted the HD only to find that almost 90% of the original software is NOT included in the system recovery CD. Now i called gateway and they tell me it's MY responsiblity to pay for all that. I really don't care about the other stuff, but they want me to pay $100 for a new verison of EASY CD Creator even though my computer came PRELOADED with it and now does't have it. THis is total BS so i am hoping one of you guys happens to have a copy. I am not very impressed with Gateway's back software seeing as how i have now lost 90% of the programs i had, some of that is good some of that is bad. Basically i lost all the programs i actually used and got all the programs i don't use back.

TIA

Jeremy

Dan,
If you need a copy of Roxio CD creator 5. I've got it and I can bring a burned copy tomorrow night.

I picked it up in China where ALL software is less than $2 US and EVERYTHING is pirated

Easy CD Creator isn't that great, in fact just plain sucks if you have one of the older versions

Everyone has praise for programs like Nero which is much better and can be downloaded over the internet. Let me know if you can't find the patch for it.

BTW, you still have your cable modem, right?

I'm temporarily working at a used software/hardware store, so if anyone needs anything and we have it in stock, I can borrow it and make a copy. Or heck, if you want the legal packaging, I can cut you a GREAT deal.

We do have a Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 Deluxe in stock right now.

HndaTch627,

It's hard to blame the company if you lost your software, or if you did not check for it when you recieved your computer. They do send it to you if you did not recieve it...in the first 30 days.

That being said, I pretty much have anything you want. I know I am way down here in lowly MO, but I would be glad to hook you up with whatever you would like. It sounds like the IL boys have got you covered, but if they don't have something let me know, I either have it, or can get it for you.

I have all the latest and greatest stuff, Office 2K premium, Roxio 5, Adobe PS 6.0, Illustrator 9.0, ACDSee 4.0, And a ton of others. I even have one VERY nice pieces that I can bet a lot of people don't have. I will PM you on that one.

Yup, I was going to recommend Nero too. You can find cracks and keys for it pretty easily too, if you want to test it.

EZ CD Creator is a bitch. 4.03 was decent, but 5 just sucks. Nero is the choice app, I think...

mazoku- by chance any copies of 3d studio max laying around? preferably 4.0 mehehe.
got 3.0 but i don't want to pay the thousand they want me to pay to upgrade to 4.0.. so i figure'd it was worth a shot. should be 2 cd's. My current Serial should work on the new one.. so it'd be "legally reg'd" to me.. but an "illegal" copy not REALLY illegal just free
anyhow it's a shot in the dark..but i figured may as well ask
that or anybody have a copy of 3d studio max???
thanks

Heh, 98mpreziveRS...I WISH we got in stuff like 3D Studio Max. Unfortunately, that's probably the last thing I'd expect to see in there. Even if someone brought it in, we'd never be able to offer them enough for them to want to sell it to us.

We do have Nero 5 tho.

3DSMax4 is all over the net. If you're not going to be doing work in it or selling anything created from it, IMO you can just download and play with it all you want. I hate software licensing, but I understand it to the fullest and respect and agree that any business or user that is using the program(s) for profit should most definitely be paying for it.
