Default 02 WRX ECU....low impedance injectors?

Will the stock ECU be able to handle low impedance injectors? After my build is done it will be winter...so will be running the car on very low power...but I do not want to swap out rails/injectors when I put in the AEM.....

Yes it CAN, but it needs resistor packs. IMO not a good idea but it has been done.

i considered mentioning that.

decreasing the available voltage/current across the injector sounds sketchy... it's certainly going to affect dead time.

i wouldn't do it!

The only reason I did mention it, was the infamous RedRocket did it on his Sti.
But we know that his results were less than stellar with that setup.
I agree the latency tables would need to be retuned.

Maybe I misread your post, but all Ultimate Racing Injectors(greater than 600cc) are low impedence w/ resistor packs....many many, including myself have ran them with very good results.

No you did not mis read.
I do not think reducing the voltage the injector gets is a good idea. Yes it CAN be done, but I would not do it.
I have 989cc injectors that are the exact impedence and latency of stock.

TMS, what brand and where did you get those 989cc injectors? I was initially thinking of getting the Ultimate-racing 1000cc but they are low impedence. Thanks
