Default adding the word "bro" to normal words

eg "broseph"

"brofessor"

"bromosapien"

"bromosexual"

this is probably one of the funnier linguistic gags i can think of. what does OT have to contribute?

Here on the left coast we refer to those who use language such as this as "dude-bro's". They are usually uneducated underemployed dufuses who drive around ford rangers that were bought by their CEO fathers. They claim to be surfers but most don't even own a board. You can see them hanging out at frat houses with beers in their hands on most days and if you're not a 'bro' in it for the gangbang then you're bad news. Dudebros are the scum of the earth.

:sneeze:
I think it's more like over educated and under intelligent. You know, like the recent college grad supporting his lifestyle that his job cannot afford him off of the remnants of family money. Working some retail thing, likes to wear the slacks and nice shirt that he wishes his job required of him out to clubs.

The terms above are funny only when used as a derrogatory term.

broseph: A prophet of the early dudebros? Rather like Will Ferrel's character in "Wedding Crashers."

brofessor: a stupid young intern instructor who acts like he should still be one of the students

bromosapien: the technical term for a "dudebro"

bromosexual: a dudebro that hits on far too many women with far too little result, usually ending up making an ass out of himself with other bromosapiens at a club. Amost always found in a pack of dudebros, only able to be in company of a member of the opposite sex alone for an hour or two, or until she discovers what an idiot he is. (this one needs work)

Adam, you got me hooked on Brofessor, and I say it quite a lot to my brothers IRL.

I started calling my friends who like hockey, Martin BROdeurs. Or, when I need some help from a brother, I have a "serious case of BROnchitis."

I can't stop

:sneeze:

One of the surf mags does a parody of this called broisms. There is a whole dictionary and everything.

Examples

brommunication skills

A bro who says all the cool bro words. Example: “Dude, we were street shreddin’ one day after an irie session and we saw this full-on cement bank, so Shad and I pretended it was a super-gnarly peak just chillin’ waiting for my slash you know I just got totally radical on it. How’s that for some gnarly brommunication skills?”

Tom Brokaw

your bro who’s up on all the news. Example: “My friend Jim just told me that Saddam Hussein is a f--ker. He’s such a Tom Brokaw.”
