Default Richmond Scooby

so i just got back from richmond subaru for my first ever service (4600 miles ). yes, also a u.s. vehicle. they didn't seem to care much about the car being imported. the service was excellent and everyone was quite friendly. oh yah, the next service even comes with a free vehicle for the length of the time that the vehicle is being serviced.

i paid the bill, they signed the maintenance book and away i went. i like that place and i'm definitely going to have all the service work for my car done there.

Service, as in under warranty?

Otherwise I don't see why Subaru wouldn't be friendly because you're paying for the "Service".

zero, it doesn't change the fact that now he has the service stamp stating that maintenance has been done at the dealership. I guarantee that if a low mileage US car had an issue, and it also has the proper service stamps, the car will be covered under warranty as long as no abuse can be found.

That, and Richmond Suabru is a pretty good dealership now.

who is the general manager of Richmond Subaru?
Was it Garry before? I haven't gone back to Richmond Subaru in 8 months.
Is that John guy still working there? John the salesman . . . kinda chubby dude with glasses wearing a suit, and has his own office.

I bought my car at Richmond Subaru, and had the first "free service" done there as well...but they never "stamped" my owner's manual for the service...were they supposed to?

I hope Richmond Suby does improve so I can finally get my car serviced on a Saturday. I did hear from someone that there was a change in ownership recently, but don't know how reliable the source is.

My Dad bought a pre-owned 02 Legacy from Richmond Suby. They told him certain things had been done (regular maintenance stuff) and my Dad found out that it hadn't. Also, the Legacy wagon we traded in was 2WD, but we saw it in the paper advertised as AWD. To smooth things over, they did give me a test drive in what was back then, the first model year WRX's in Canada.

I really hope their attitude toward customer service has changed, as neither I nor my father will go there again. Docksteader, on the other hand, has earned our business many times over. What Subaru dealership wouldn't want my family's business? We have owned over 17 Subarus in the last 20 years.

Barry Chyzowski is the GM, while asian John is the finance guy. He's the one who writes up the contracts, etc and one of the only original staff left.

They're supposed to write the mileage, and type of service in your manual, then stamp it with their service stamp to ensure there's no question about what was done, and by whom.

Damn it...I better go back now, and try to get them to do that...so I don't have "issues" down the road.

Things have definitely changed - when I was still have my car maintained there, they would gladly take my money and not bother with the maintenance booklet. Oh well, my car can't be maintained by dealership anymore (DD keeps reminding me to bring my car in for service that I just keep ignoring)
