Default Factory short shifter from 05 FXT

NOTE:
This is the shifter arm only, may not be the full factory shifter setup as does not include the linkage.

I will not be selling this unit for now, not until I sort this out a bit better.

Sincerely,
Rick

I am not sure what this is worth, certainly not what the dealers charges

I removed it from my FXT to install the Cobb unit, used for 17k miles and the car was so lighlty used the interior looked never sat in so I doult any slamming the shifts. Not that it would seem to mater for this particular part, very stoutly built.

$100 or OBO???

Rick

Was this a factory option on your car when it was new, or did the dealer install? If it was added later, is this the subaru forester specific SS full linkage, or one for a WRX? I have an 05 Fxt

On the original window sticker from the manf it lists the short shifter and a cost of $395(I may be off a bit, to busy to go dig up the sticker now but it was around there)

My car is an 05 FXT and though I bought it used(with 17k miles two weeks ago) I am sure it is a short shifter, just not sure what else there is to know about it.

Sincerely,
Rick

OK, this may be just the lever from the factory kit, I was not aware they made a more complete setup, thought it was allot of money for a lever!

Anyway, I am going to reinstall the factory lever and see how I like it now that I have better bushings, etc, and if I do, will sell the Cobb unit and keep the stock one.

Sorry for any confusion, did not know as much as I should of!

Sincerely,
Rick

I've been in Foresters that have had the factory short shifter (my car) and one that has had the Kartboy SS. I didn't really notice much of a difference. Kartboy may have been a little bit shorter in height, but not necessarily in throws.
