Default So I guess my old STi is still famous. . .

Apparently Tirerack used one of the most e-famous STi pictures around for a winter tire ad in this month's Sport Compact Car.

Thanks to GDB FAN in Bothell for teh mag pics. Going to pick up a copy of my own this week.

A set of 17" Wedsport SA-90s in Bronze would hit the spot.

I did a Google image search for "sti snow". Your pic came up on the second page as posted to bbs.legacycentral.org in a thread detailing where, when and by whom the pic was taken. There is no way the Tire Rack didn't know you took that pic. Unless one of their marketing guys had it on his hard drive, thought it would make good ad copy but didn't remember where he had gotten it from. But that's no excuse. If they couldn't attribute it properly, they shouldn't have used it. Of course, someone might have lied about the source also.

I'd never seen the picture before now and it took me all of 5 seconds to determine its original source. The Tire Rack was just plain lazy on this one. I say get some free wheels/tires out of them.

Whoah!

And that picture made one of the two versions of the IWSTi.com calendar for 2006 . . . with my other picture (with the BBS REs and JDM fogs in the sand) appearing in the OTHER version of the calendar. My car was the only one to appear in both versions.

I would def have someone of legal power submit them a letter, asking where abouts did they pertain the rights... Its clearly to late, since its been published, you could easily get paid off it.

I guess it's actually the Tire & Wheel technical section, not the vendor section. Luke would be the guys name.
