What did I msiread? I am unfamiliar with the club. Do they hold every event at one site, or alternate like other clubs?

I was thinking of joining the BMW club next year so I could do the Miata events in Framingham, and the BMW events at Devens. If they moved the Devens events to somewhere else even more of a distance away from home, I might reconsider??

This is the BWM event club that you guys run normally right?

Going thru Boston wont really be much of an issue at 7AM on a Sunday morning.

that's what I'm thinking. I don't mind going through the city at 7am on a Saturday or Sunday...either day, it's not bad.

Paul: They run all their events at one location. So, they will all be in Weymouth. It actually might even be closer to you now. Just shoot right down 93. The BMW memberships are still good anyway. You can use them for other events. I think I'm gonna join them this year. I mean you can use it for BMW & Miata auto-x's, ice racing, and any other events that BMW club runs like driving schools and stuff like that!

Oh, and you get a cool magazine.

I was gonna join Mass Miata again next year, but maybe I'll do BMW and compete in a more diverse crowd.... I'll just keep following Pete and Jim around

I think this Weymouth place is only a few years out of service, so the concrete is very smooth still. Should be a very fun place. Just a wee bit further for me then Devens though.

Cool, I think that is still the plan. Thanks for the clarification Pete.

I was still considering the SCCA because I was competitive last year, but I think I'll learn more by getting more seat time at these BMW/Miata events. I want to do at least two events a month, so hopefully that will help. I was also going to consider the NESCC events to "fill" in if BMW/Miata don't have one.

I don't think 93S in the morning will be bad at all, and even on a Sunday night coming back it might not be too bad. I guess I could always take 95 from/to my place also. We could always try to plan an early breakfest and a dinner near the sight to keep us busy avoiding traffic? Might be fun.

Its just what I overheard from a guy who had been to a Porsche event there this season... No promises on the accuracy as I have been known to be dumb at times.
