Bill, can we set up a web cam at Exteter so we can all watch after hours, or can I just come up and help?

Why don't you buy a better turbo kit already so I can buy yours.

Well, since Bill has the toughest schedule, pick a day/night and let us know. I have a few things going on this weekend and a vistitor this week, but might be able to make it.

Well after yesterdays events i have decided that i will not be pulling the motor again, I can look back now and see that due to my plans for building the car i missed every event that i wanted to run this year... so in the spring the ecu goes in and then off to the dyno to tune it then its just time to drive. I was talking to Davemon and he said about his track car that he would gladely give up 50hp to know the car will always run and he took off the super charger... i thought he was nuts but now i can see what he meant. so my new plans are to get the ecu tuned then to Drive it.

Thanks Wayne and Dave for helping me pul my head out of my ass

Glad to hear it Bill!! It is very rare I actually change anyones mind... despite the way I prattle on forever. When you said you were stoked about learning more high performance driving skills and I put that into perspective with the obvious fun you had autocrossing I just had to put in my two cents. Me, I just LOVE to drive. It's the reason I rarely autox anymore because while I love to compete too I really love driving far more so the 2+ hours of track time at a track school far and away beats the 8 minutes max at an autocross. I still strongly recommend folks get very comfortable autocrossing before coming to the track but if you can spare the coin the track is more driving time and since I started road racing... oh yeah!! I still miss motorcycle track time but I made a deal with the wife and it's better for me anyway... I guess.

Stripping all the interior out of my track car is underway and then it's off to the shop for the winter for a full weld-in cage, new wheel bearings, custom passenger seat mounts, a variety of welded in harness hardpoints, sunroof removal and a few other things to get it fully up to safety specs for BMW CCA and SCCA road racing.

Dave (aka Davemon)

back to work with me now... damn it's more fun to take a break than work...

built motor? I wish I could do that down here in Texas. What is the higest you can get an impreza to rev? Can you imagine a 2.5 reving to 8-9--10 grand? Man that would be a monster!
