Anybody had experience with both the stock sub and one of those two aftermarkets (esp. how easy is it to hook 'em up to the stock headunit)? If someone has either the Clarion or Kenwood installed, would you be willing to let me have a listen?
I'm looking for an under-seat sub for my '02 WRX, but have no idea what any of them sound like. Thanks, Dan

JikJak had one, maybe PM him and see if he can give you any insight. I'm sort of curious as well. I want to make the extremely ****ty stock stereo slightly less ****ty using as little money as possible.
In the meantime, I just turn off the radio completely and listen to the exhaust and BPV. |

The Kenwood unit is quite nice and is definetly a quality product with some decent bass-response and mid-range. Avoid the Clarion like the plague. I am usually a fan of Clarion product but that one is absaloute garbage.

How easy is it to install the Kenwood? Does it hook right up with the head unit? Does it come with mounting materials that you can use with a Suba?

the factory one is actually pretty decent. i have the factory upgraded speakers and it's perfect. not heavy at all and pretty decent sound. i have an aftermarket headunit so i can toy around with the eq.

Do 2002's have factory hook ups under the passenger seat?
I picked up Jikjik's sub, but I haven't had a chance to find them. |

I'm not an audio guy but I came across this while searching for info.
on the Basslink, not sure if the Kenwood is available in Cda. or if the SW1 is the replacement for this wOOx. http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/IS...s_reviews.html |
