Ouch! But he said "I'm GETTING my MECP certification"........."I'm pretty knowledgeable." I'm pretty sure....or at least I hope, he knows the difference between MDF and particle board. Besides, he said all of his boxes are made of 3/4" MDF.........just not the 2 posted .

I have absolutely no idea what wafer board is. Is that referring to 3/4" particle board? If you go to any reputable stereo shop, they'll tell you that MDF is the material of choice when it comes to building a speaker box. And no, MDF is not the same as wafer/particle board. Yes they're both made from wood, but MDF is obviously much more dense than particle board. I'm pretty sure if you paid for a box made out of MDF, then you'd be pretty pissed if you got one made out of particle board, right? SO no, they're not the same. Also, when you said to "go to Home Depot and tell them that they're mislabeling their MDF"............UH, if you were even half an installer, you'd know by first sight, that's not MDF. Your credibility and competency as an "installer" is slowly fading my friend. And yes, I am a MECP certified installer also. So maybe YOU need to do some "researching" as you said. Nuff said!
