Yeah that was at BAM. Assigned parking for car show cars. This is what it actually looked like for most of the day.

Haha I figured it was someone from on here. I like it a lot. When I first got it I understood almost none of it since I came straight from a point-and-shoot. It's been an awesome camera to have started basic and as I learned more the D90 already had the capabilities to do everything I wanted in it, as I was discovering them.

I want to paint just the face, the opal section or whatever color they say. Was it too much of a PITA to do and you painted the whole thing or what?

i feel you, no it wasnt to hard the hardest part was scuffing them, making sure you get every little part and use some good paint and clear. but i painted the whole thing, thats it in the picture. i think the smarter choice would be just paint the face, cause i didnt think about changing my tires cause i know thats going to scratch the **** out of the paint

I'm most worried about taping the lip and "bolts" so they don't get paint on them, not sure how to go about it!

no worries, ill try and walk you through it as best as i can. this is what i would do, im sure theres other ways..
things you need to setup: screw driver, painters tape and painters paper,
-take the wheels off
-get a screw driver
-turn the wheels around
-poke the bolts out through the back "no homo" they should pop right out (now you dont have to worry about painting the bolts"

-now get the tape and use it as an outline to cover what you dont want painted, the way these wheels are setup its acually easy to get it in there and cover it
- then the paper to cover the rest and tape it around

sorry if i confused you, but PLEASEEEE get GOOD painters tape, theres alot of painters tape thats POS! and wont stick right, i personally like 3m tape.

You're a good man! I had no idea that the bolts would come off, figured they were just stuck there for the mad 3 piece-ness lol.
That's the main issue, awesome thanks for the help! I've only painted a handful of stockers and steelies so this is new to me
