Could you paint the garage-door-seal material to give it a less porous/ more cleanable surface?

^^ i don't know fernando. the middle is raised to fill the gap but i think your current factory extra lip will hang further out the this one. mine only hangs out from the bumper about half an inch.

^bwx, i have thought about maybe clear coating the garage door seal and see if that would deflect dirt and maybe make it a little more glossy. i will try it and put it on the other side and see how it looks.

My first thought would be to do it when it was brand new or very clean, then prep it with some flexible primer if they make a product like that, then use gloss or flat black, whichever is preferred. But yeah I don't see why that wouldn't work, and possibly give it some added rigidity? It would be cool it that worked!

Oh I guess 08+ doesn't have many options you're right. But still, for the front get a real lip, Greg did it right imo. It may be cheap, but it'll make your car look cheap. Just an opinion.

^thanks.
i priced out getting a 08 wrx premium front bumper and the NT front lip/side and rear steps and it was close $1500 once i got the bumper painted and all the parts for some reason, the lip won't work with anything other that 08+ premium bumpers. and the side a rear steps wouldn't work without the wrx premium side skirts and rear spats either. it sucks

Armor-All the lip! It doesn't keep dirt away and probably makes more stick to it but it makes it look pretty good for the time being.

i think plasti-dip would be your best bet if you want to keep it at a matte black finish, or if you want it shinny, plasti-dip it and put tire shine

You definitely want to keep it dry or it will be continually and perpetually dirty and dusty.

i have use plastidip a lot and i love it, but i don't think it will hold up well right there. there would be lots of debris hitting/peeling it from the tires.

working on clear coating some right now.

Uh, well yeah, but there are varying degrees as to how fast something is covered in dirt..

That's why I hate those "shiny" plastic/leather conditioners for the interior- they are instantly covered in dust and lint. I've been using Armor All Natural Finish Detailer Protectant for years on my dash. It repels dirt, stays clean for weeks.. love that stuff.

Just de-badged yesterday, going for that cleaner look. Going to go body color on that chrome.

Been debating the de-badging also. Looks pretty good! I have NBP as-well. What exhaust is that?

Thanks. Yeah I think it looks a lot better than those glitzy looking chrome letters. I should have done it long ago but it was a nice day yesterday so I just decided to do it before colder weather is here permanently.

That is just the stock exhaust with those tips that come on premium models/WRX.

-About $30 each..

I know!! A really good local place will do it for $300 too- for all the windows. Too bad it's totally illegal in NY to even put %10 on late model cars. I had laser eye surgery so I could get one of those exceptions from my eye doc for sensitivity to light and then you have a special badge put under the tint that confirms you're legal.. All such a PITA though, and I'd still get harrassed by the cops and pulled over all the time for it.. :-/ My car would look way more complete with a 50% tint on there though.

Did a quick search and didn't find much, but does anyone know if our 2.5i's are pre-wired for a map light? I've been wanting to get one for a while and just found one in the classifieds but don't want to buy it unless I know for sure it will wire up. I'm assuming the wires are already in there since some things are prewired they just didn't include them (fog lights, heated windshield, etc.)
