Looks good Daigledangle. What are you running in your highbeams? Those look really blue from the reflectors. Also, do you have angel eyes installed?

Thanks man!

I'm running an "ultra blue" led bulb in my high beams. In person, they are a very similar blue to a police officer (which is why I recently ordered the "ultra white" led instead). And yes, I do have angel eyes installed. Instead of painting the orange reflector inside the lights, it was removed completely and left a mirror look. Then I replaced the orange turn signal bulb with a clear one.

Any closeups of the LED? Interesting. Or a link to where you got them?

Nothing else to say, other than glad to see you don't have a WRX/STI hood yet.

Do you drive with the "hi-beams"? I can't imagine the LED's projecting a lot of light. If so, how bright or not are they?

He cut the middle pillar out of the bumper since the aftermarket grill doesn't have a middle pillar.

This was before I painted my front grill and installed the angel eyes.

That is one of the major downfalls with led's. The light output is almost non existent. Thats why I keep my stock bulbs inside my car.. just incase something serious happens and I know I'll need them, then ill be able to just swap them in quickly.

Hey guys! decided to go ahead and finally get my fenders rolled after so much scraping around. Im not completely happy with the results. While I am aware that my wheel clearance is now dealt with, I cant help but feel like this fender mod did more harm than good. I now have a bit of paint chipping going on, the mod also means that my plastic fender liner is now gone and I am worried my car will hydrolock in rain because my CAI is now totally exposed. anyways, I will be getting an intake shield sometime this month. here are some pics i took after i got it back. at least no more scrapping!!

this last one may not be for the feint of heart...

hey, its the 08 STI bayson R lip. made it fit with a whole lot of screws, bending and trimming the ends to line up with the bumper.

Its pretty obvious that if you need to remove your fender liner that you're way too ****ing low. But if it looks t3h k00lest then good luck. I did need a laugh this morning, so thanks!

You are really going to need to find a way to protect that air filter.... honestly, I'd go to a short ram intake. You are certainly going to get a good amount of water fed up onto/into that filter, even in light misty conditions where the water gets kicked up. If you value your vehicle, this would be one of the first things I'd take care of. I don't think a heat/splashshield is going to offer that filter much protection.

And honestly, I think the car is too low for everyday driving. I think you are going to find that you made your car more of a "showcar" and not so much a daily driver. Now you constantly have to be cognizant of where and how you are driving. Bumps, sticks/rocks/roadkill in the road...

Good luck man.

you dont need to remove your fender liner, you just need to trim it a little since the middle no longer has the ability to clip onto the fender lip. you didnt plan this out at all. i was just as low as you and i didnt take anything out of the fenders.

also, that intake placement is blah to begin with. with that much piping and bends it completely negates the fact that you're pulling in cooler air. shorten it up, put it in the engine bay, and stop worrying about hydrolocking (which you'd seriously have to run your car into a lake to do, but anyway...).

all that modding on a 2.5i and you completely ignore the fact that you shouldn't have a cai on your car in the first place? How does that happen? or do you just not care about functionality.

I think there is a thread in general called "Subaru Ricers Everywhere"
