You shouldn't have mismatched tires.

I purchased them like that from a seller. When the tread wears I'll end up replacing them with a new set of tires. For now they seem to be pretty even in diameter.

Honestly, I don't think there is much difference. I heard what the STI muffler sounded like on a 2.5i wagon and wasn't amazed or anything. Seems like with both you get a cool lower-frequency sound when the rpms slow down to near idle. But either way, like you say, its for looks.

I've now found myself a proud 2.5i owner. I'll get some pics up!

Not the newest with all my goodies, but the only ones I have on the comp atm.

(I think the headlights makes it look awesome. )

There's a slight pickup in the low RPM Range. More noticeably from 0 to 1st and 1st to 2nd. Otherwise, it's nothing to go screaming for joy about =). A nice addition if you're looking for low cost engine mod.

I have a 04 WRX dual tip on my car and I like it because it still has a bit more backpressure that us N/A's need than the stright-through STi ones

I have an HKS exhaust, it started as a muffler, but with all the custom piping they did, its basically an ABE. Other then that, nothing under the hood except a warranty, lol, and just a couple interior mods, like DVD headunit and shift knob. Nothing spectacular, yet

The list

Exterior
-Seibon CF hood
-Authentic STi V-limited front lip
-STi trunk/wing swap
-20% tint all around
-Type RA-R front grill

Suspension/Wheels
-Tanabe GF210 springs on stock struts
-18x8 Rota Tarmac 3's
-Kumho ECSTA AST 225/40/18's

Engine
-3 year/36K mile warranty
-HKS Carbon Ti ABE
-Kartboy exhaust hangers

Interior
-Kenwood Excelon KVT815DVD headunit
-Momo STi all leather shift knob

Future
-Seibon CF trunk
-Seibon CW style scoop
-wrx sideskirts
-05 taillights
-Injen CAI

Is that the sti s204 lip? and has your exhaust increased anything , hp,acc, etc?

Okay...you've asked this question 3 times within 15 minutes...

If you would READ his post with the mod list, under the "Exterior" section, you'd see that it is the "Authentic STi V-limited front lip"

I treat it as a bigger 2.5RS of yesteryear [GC] and even as a Auto I love it to death. I am going to get Rally Armor mudflaps by next month and a HID kit by Sept. and a EDM taillight with the built-in fog and get headlights blacked out.

Infolepsy, if you don't like that setup, cry your brains out because unless you send ANY of us free parts, we MAY/May not put them on due to our different tastes. IMO I love modded 2.5i's due to the questions we always get that U kept saying [why not get a WRX] that is a wuss way out of saying "your car is cooler than mine and my friend's WRX" I hang out with alot of WRX/STi owners and not once have they ripped on my car [making fun of it] and told me to get a WRX.

I suprised my 2 WRX friends with only my axleback due to the sounds it makes. it is different than what they can do. I am non-turbo, and SOHC and cruising can carry the same low-end bassy note hence EL headers stock. I love how being a N/A my 2004 WRX axleback makes me pop which makes me feel a bit more tuned than just only having an axleback.

Aslo, for its class, it has the most bang for its buck if you add in gas prices also. out of everything in my range, I am one of the rare ones that can go to get Regular gas and not Premuim. we may not also have Turbochargers, but still generate as much HP and TQ as the VW rivals even thoguh they have smaller displacement. and everytime I talk to my WRX friends I get them mad when I tell them how much gas I used. with them they average 250 miles before past 1/4 mark. by then I am usually at 310-330 miles. and one of the WRX owners is also an Auto.

Verdict is, I love the car and the owners who drive them. I am going to make mine a VIP car since it is Black and Automatic. and to info, keep your girlish fantasies of a stock 2.5i in your head. we are going to do what we please. hope you never did that with 2005 2.5RS owners

~Clinton {damn that was alot of typing *phew*}

EDIT: also, question. any word on a 2.5i CF hood in the works? should be easier than making the STI/WRX ones

Amen to that brother. I love my new 2.5i.Its a great car and a very fun drive. Coming from an equinox , being that this was what i could afford , and i live in montreal in the winter and ny the rest of the time. I love this car, my friends have a , 96 vw passat, a camaro, an eclipse, and a civic si, and they all want to drive my car the most for its torque and handling capabilities, believe it or not. There are plenty of options for this car, just having patience is key.Doing something to make it your own is what counts and if its what you love, then do it. I think its great to see all these amazing cars and the people that drive them.Go 2.5i's!!!!

Has anyone considered the possiblity of an engine swap with an older wrx 2.0 or a legacy swap? how bout just using parts from the legacy? maybe the turbo? Its the same engine so...??? There are really no engine parts for this car whatsoever either than an intake, pully and a few small things here and there?

two of the same posts in two different threads, why?

swap you talk about is illegal, and not as easy as you think, turbo no one has really done it so be the first. And there is a decent amount of parts for your car if you search right

Go to the Impreza forum. There's a great thread on why you SHOULDN'T turbo the EJ25 or any N/A engine for that matter. You can if you wish, but it will end up costing more than a swap if you want to do it safely and correctly.
