Ahh I did that. Had curb rash and fixed it. Ended up painting them for real. 3 coats Vht gloss black engine paint with 3 coats Vht wheel clear. Stuff is durable. Scuffed a curb and didn't even touch the paint. Really nice shine when u wet sand and buff it out.

Here's my '07 2.5i SWP wagon. Currently with approx 64,500 on the clock. Had 5 miles on it when I bought it in Feb '07.

Don't blow your motor 10 hours away from home...

And here she is after a bath. Just needs wheels and a drop.

So obviously you won't be needing your stock wheels anymore since your new 18s will be in use all year round.

In that case, I'll buy 'em from you.

Nice pics.

Sorry man, keeping them for winter wheels. And a couple of them have some pretty bad damage from the a**holes at my local Les Schwab so you probably wouldn't want them after all.

Outback Sports are all two tone. The black version has a dark grey two tone.

Mine is the red guy just a couple pics up is an Outback Sport, it has the grey door handles and the little grey things on the bumper but its not the traditional OBS two tone like you are talking.

Fortunately and unfortunately no. I dropped a valve in the 4th cylinder due to one of the exhaust valve guides dropping, along with one of them in the 2nd cylinder shifting. So they had to rebuild the 4th cyl, machine the head and install all new guides, replace the timing belt, head gasket, etc. etc. Before shipping my car back to me in NC it was about $2100... 3200 miles out of warranty. BUT I got on the phone with SOA and got them to cover half of the repairs and shipping!

Considering they originally thought it was a rod or bearing before they tore it down and told me to prepare to need an entire new motor, it could have been much worse. I just don't understand how it could have happened in the first place, considering I baby the **** out of my car and do all the maintenance. Such is life. Three months later and I just now put 1,000 miles on it since the rebuild. That's how little I drive.

And it looks like I may be snatching up a set of wheels... off of my bf's 06 WRX. His stockers have Blizzaks on them and my tires are just about bald, so I might be stealing them shortly. He also has the stock tires with only 5k miles on them, so... what's his is mine??

Wow thats actually not too bad price wise considering how much a entire motor build would be . Like you said, unfortunately bad things happen at some point Maybe this time around your car will run much better. Best of luck with your car 'mam!
