Default FMIC with AP

I am starting to think of going with a used FMIC from someone (not sure who yet, let me know if you want to sell yours)...

I will have the Cobb Stage 2 when I get back, plus the uppipe. Sorry for a few newb questions...

1) What FMIC should I go with, that I can use my HKS SSQ BOV (bearing in mind price isn't terribly important, but would rather spend 500-750 on a used kit)

2) How much change is the FMIC going to be with the Stage 2, and will it screw anything up since it isn't part of one of the "stages"?

I'd like to keep my fog lights if possible, or at least not interfere with my STi fog covers.

i have a question for you.
Why do you need the extra cooling of a FMIC?

a lot of kits are gonna retain the fogs... TXS, Ebay SS(which I own and love), Perrin... The TXS and Ebay can use any "wrx" flanged bov with a TXS bov flange. Just flip it around with a piece of rad hose and itll work. You need to know what you want from the car then go from there.
There is not much point of a fmic on the stock turbo unless you are upgrading soon.. imo

you are not going to gain anything from a FMIC or a BOV. Dont use the FMIC with the cobb map. its not designed for it.

i am just assuming this but:

i dont really think its going to affect you.... just add to turbo lag....

I'm running an Injen FM right now and my wideband isn't reading any abnormal a/f, I'm not running a cobb though i'm still on the stock map

How much work did your Ebay SS need? I heard it was missing just about everything...

Can you explain the BOV requirements (how to set it up etc) in a little more detail, by pm if necessary, possibly with some pictures?

To answer everyone elses questions...I try to sneak a bit here and there on my wife, because she doesnt particularly want me always modding my car (read: my last car had so much stuff). So, I get a FMIC one month, then i add a new turbo etc next month, etc etc. Is the FMIC really going to HURT with the cobb?

Ok, if I decide to get the turbo at the same time...

1) If I get the VF39, can I use it with the VF34 maps from Cobb (I saw that the VF39/34 are almost essentially the same thing)

2) Obviously I am going to need the STi injectors if I go with the VF34 maps from Cobb...do I need any upgrades to the fuel pump as well?

I understand the parity when sharing bank accounts but why is modding a car different from any other hobby? This always confuses me when people have to sneak around, hide purchases, nickel and dime their wives, etc. I realize its not smart to blow all the money but modding a car is just like any other activity you might spend $$$ on.
