STi (Brospeed) exhuast

I am thinking of buying the Subaru performance muffler and I-pipe. I have done some research and know they are made of stainless steel, but does anyone know what the diameter of the pipe is? I want 2.25" to match the headers and custom high flow cat I'll be getting soon after.

I'm not sure of the diameter on the Brospeed exhaust, but I am certain it is not an STi part. It's one of the SPT parts the dealerships offer and is made in the States. The STi exhaust is 100% stainless and made in Japan

IIRC - it's 1 7/8" dia just like stock

I think I have that exhaust. I got it installed at the dealer when I bought the car....I always forget what it is when I look underneath!

It says (I think) Bosal & Brospeed, and it has "2.5 RS" engraved on the tip. It is stainless, and its of pretty good quality. Not very loud either...has a nice sound. The pipe dimameter looks a little smallish...maybe 2.00" or 2.25". Looks smaller than my 2.5" mid-pipe. But its OK. If you can get it real cheap, I'd buy it, but otherwise, if you're comparing to other exhuasts on the masket, I'd go with a Stromung or something.

The Brospeed Subaru exhaust is a sound upgrade, not a performance upgrade. Piping is the same diameter, bigger tip, slightly louder sound. For $400, there are many better, more effective ways to spend your caysh.
