I'm surprised Ronald McDonald would part ways with it.

JK, congrats on your purchase.

McSTI made me chuckle! I used a UK agent who had guys out there who inspected it before auction; obviously you have quite a detailed auction sheet as well. I pay a "landed registered uk" price, inc taxes, oil service and basic underseal. It arrives March.

I wonder what a set would cost (US$).

Price in Japan was approx 14 000, alot more back in UK, 20% vat tax, 14% import tax, agent fee etc etc; I can`t bring myself to say the full amount !
Only plans are to take the red flaps off, maybe overlay rear lights, re map for uk fuel, as I am done with modified cars. And go on loads of road trips, Europe as well.

"done with modified cars" If I had a dollar for every time I heard that one... well I'm definitely jealous of the purchase and due to its rarity maybe leaving it stock wouldn't be a bad idea for value reasons.

"Sunrise Yellow", exclusive to 2009/2010 spec C, allegedly only 70 painted.

Yeah, check this space in a few months !! Seriously, The situation in the UK is probably similar to the States, where it is really hard to find the rarer models in stock form; so many cars are broken for parts, and modded cars are common as muck. I just wanted something that had great handling out of the box, with reasonable insurance.

I wish they continued to sell the STI and WRX in yellow in the US. Great color!
