Default trying to figure out what color is what

Regarding the color changes around '05 and '06...is the current CGM and the old PSM actually the same color (visually) or did they just get rid of PSM all together?

Wondering if my CGM was actually a single year color...

CGM is on the 05 and 06. It might be on the 07 too(im not sure). The PSM and cgm are not the same color at all. The PSM is gone altogether

My understanding is that if they change the name, they've changed the color.

I have heared that PSM became CGM, and the color that was CGM was taken out...any validity to this?

Definitive answer: PSM is a lighter silver than CGM so no, they are not the same. When I was buying my car it was between an '04 PSM or an '05 CGM so I was able to see them side-by-side.

I know what the difference is between the PSM of '04 and the CGM of '05 (used to have '04 WRX wagon in PSM). However, I have heared that the color which was called PSM in '05 (and earlier) became CGM in '06, and the color that was originally CGM was eliminated...wondering if there is any validity to this.

Outback Sport Newbie: first post: Trying to get my reds straight

hello folks--Based on a previous post in this thread, can I assume that the Impreza reds are abbreviated as

SRR=San Remo Red
GPR=Garnet Pearl Red

I very much like the Outback Sport Wagon, and I am into red cars. I am very particular about my shades of red. For instance, I now own a '99 VW Passat with my favorite red of all time--what I called Iridescent Maroon.

Subaru uses two reds. I don't think I much like the San Remo Red because I drove the '06 Outback LL Bean Sedan today and I loved the car but not the color. I think it was the SRR and it is too close to orange for me.

To the point: I just found out that the '07 Impreza Outback is coming (back?) in the GPR, and not the SRR. I think the GPR is what I like (I've seen it on Legacy Outbacks, no? and older Impreza Outbacks?) because it's darker--more maroon and less orange. Anyway, where can I find photos that will allow me to see both colors on the Subarus? The current Subaru website has terrible color reproduction on my monitor and the 2007 Impreza info is not up there yet anyway.

Btw, I think the Outback color pallette is the best in the business--I especially like NBP, RPB, and EM and almost all the two-tone combos the Legacy Outbacks get. The SRR is good in the full two-tone because the grey damps it down a bit.
