Default 3 inch or 2.5 inch Exhuast for 2.5L

I know this topic has been beatin and beatin alot of my post are in some of those exhuast treads.

Wanting to take my greddy Evo2 to the exhuast shop and have them refit the midpipes bottle next to a full 3 inch. Some reason i always chicken out when i decide to go there and have it done.

Right now im about to do a shortblock swap to a 2.5L hybrid power goals my tuner needs to stop at 300awhp i cant afford another broken part.
Would it be best for the motor to breath so to speak if i had my Evo2 hacked to a full 3inch or would it even matter that much.

2.5": Good for 300-350 HP.

I'd go for the 3".
