Default Installed MBRP axleback, sound clips and pics inside

Hey guys,
I picked up a used MBRP catback over a week ago from a NASIOC member. I did get the full catback but since I am catless, I decided to keep the resonator and installed the axleback section only.

Impressions:

The sound is amazing. The car classifies on medium scale as far as loudness. The sound is nice and deep with a phenominal growl to it. As far as looks, I like it. It tucks nicely under the bumper and stays put without any banging or fitment issues. Performance wise, it must be like +50hp Can't tell a difference. I didn't expect to.

So, now for the good part, the sound clips:

Outside revving

Inside the cabin

Some pics of the axleback installed:

Now for the bad part. They don't make this axleback anymore. MBRP backed out of sport compact scene so good luck finding one.

I did try running without the resonator, full catback and it didn't sound very good. Much louder and had a touch of tin can in it. This combo sounds amazing to me. My full exhaust is Oakos shorty DP, gutted stock UP, gutted 3rd cat, stock resonator pipe and this beauty, MBRP axleback. Let me know what you guys think.

Hey I used to have this catback as well, but I sold it. The sound of it is just really quiet and I mean not being too annoying.

what I don't like about it is the tip of it, it looks like there is another layer inside the canister somehow.

Thanks!!! Yeah, the plate frame is SS, straight from the dealer. It is about 1 years old and still looks great when I clean it.

The exhaust does have some kind of double layering. Funny, I think the thing is pretty loud. But I am catless. When I did the full catback (removed the resonator) the sound was much louder. Too loud for me so I went back to resonated setup. Once I get a high flow cat, I will probably ditch the resonator and go full CBE.
