Cool Ahh, nothing like a sunday cruise...

Well, a bunch of us got together Sunday, and decided to cruise around.

All in all, there were 2 Celicas (a GT and a GTS), 2 WRXs, and 3 GC8 RSs (including my RS-T)

Much fun was had by all, untill my water pump decided it hated it's job and quit. The car is OK, it made it back with the temp guage at normal.

I don't think any dealer around here will warrent it, so I'm pretty much screwed. Heh, it picked the WRONG time to die.

BTW, Jeff, where did you go? We pulled over to wait up for someone, and you vanished!

i had no idea what you guys were doing, but cutting across three lanes of traffic and stopping on the interstate was not what i had in mind. i needed to get going anyway, so Nadeem and myself just kept going.

it was a good time. well, almost. joel, when you blew past me at over 100 (that's miles per month, if any law enforcement individuals are reading this) it really, really made me want a turbo and when did your water pump die? after i left, i suppose.

oh, and those celica guys are worse at directions than shawn i told them left when we got off the second ferry, i even signaled left, but which way do they go that's why i had to take over

i also hope we made that guy in the F355 spyder feel inadequate

ahh, ok...

yea, we noticed a coolant leak later, and it was coming from under the timing belt cover, so we figured it's the pump. I'm gonna call around and see if a dealer will warrent it.

Yea, we were going pretty slow, no speeding, or blowing past Ferrari's at 100+ for us.

well, at least water pumps are pretty cheap. i'll take odds that you don't get it warrentied. i think they can argue that the turbo voids it, although, maybe you could try and convince them its a WRX

At first I thought bart's car broke, then I realized we were waiting for Reto....Joels car was taking an antifreeze pee at Hooters...
Sorry we lost ya Jeff...
Im pretty sure 7 imports doing 110 past an open top 355 ferrari will make anyone feel inadequate....especially that guy. What a great day though....Hooters was ablast afterwards too...

Thumbs up Good News!!!

SCORE!! Lou Fusz said they'd cover it! I told him about the turbo, and the only concern he had was if he had to move any parts of the turbo to get to the pump. He said it shouldn't be a problem unless the rep comes and says something while it's there!

Joel, glad to hear that you got your water pump covered.

Sunday was definitely a blast. I don't know anything about the F355 guy.....I know I wasn't speeding....nope, not in the least

I did appreciate you guys waiting for me, but I agree with Jeff, stopping on the interstate seemed like a slightly... unconventional idea. I thought you guys were heading for the exit, and was surprised to see you stop before that. I was stuck behind a minivan for a while, and didn't expect to catch up after that, assuming that people were doing triple digit (in furlongs/fortnight) speeds. Even though I would have missed out on the refreshments afterwards, which would have been a shame.

yea, Bart pulled up next to me, and said he was pulling over to wait for Reto.

hehe, I bet Bart was glad to not have me following him after I left, I was all over his rear bumper.

100 furlongs per fortnight!?! Man, I'm glad I didn't run with you guys this weekend. And here I was considering a nice Sunday noon cruise. But I found something else to occupy my time.

Joel, sorry to hear about your water pump, but at least it'll be covered without much hassle.

lol, everyone gathered around the car to see the turbo setup, there was a WRX there running 19psi, and Dave (other silver RS) was there talking autocross with the service manager while he was waiting on the word for his tranny.

I'm still crossing my fingers that it's just the pump, and they'll fix it.

Just out of curiosity: What blew up on that WRX running 19 psi? Do you know if his problem was being fixed under warranty?

Don't sweat it man. I don't have access at home either. As I said, I did find something else to occupy my time.

We're not even on the same wavelength here, Jeff. You're not even close. Hint: No magazines/catalogs were involved. And it's something you're likely to find uninteresting.

In fact, I don't think anyone in this thread would even understand how I could enjoy it. I think I'll leave you all in the dark, guessing. Oh, one other hint, it's not of a sexual nature, so get your mind out of the gutter.
